What is N.A.E.T?

Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique, also known as N.A.E.T., is a safe, natural approach to detecting and eliminating all types of allergies.  N.A.E.T. combines kinesiology (muscle testing) and oriental medicine to clear allergic reactions through rebalancing the body.  The actual technique used involves stimulation, by using light pressure applied along both sides of the spinal column, to specific acupressure points, which are associated with the individual organs of the body.

Do Treatments Hurt?

Not at all.  The treatment does not employ needles, drugs or long-term diets.

How many appointments will I need?

A comprehensive NAET program is tailored to fit each patient. No two patients have the same allergy profile. The number of appointments needed depends on:
  • The number of allergies the patient might have.
  • The overall severity of the allergic condition.
  • The strength of the patient's immune system and response to the treatments.

A patient with a few allergies will need a few treatments, one with many allergies will need more.

How long does the desensitization last?

When NAET is applied according to the protocol set forth by Dr. Devi, the correction is usually permanent.  Much of this depends on the patient compliance with restrictions following the treatment.

How do allergies affect the patient?

Allergies can affect the PHYSICAL LEVEL
If there is a structural or physical involvement as a result of an allergen, the body might experience pain, stiffness, muscle spasms, etc.  Often the allergen is a contactant and the skin may be involved.

Allergies may affect the NUTRITIONAL LEVEL
If there is a bio-chemical or nutritional involvement as a result of an allergen, the allergen could be a food item, or a chemical that entered the body via ingestion, infection or inhalation.  The allergen reacts at the metabolic level.

Allergies affecting the EMOTIONAL LEVEL
If there is a psychological involvement to an allergen, the allergen may have attached its response to an emotional trauma or experience.

Are there different kinds of allergies?

INHALANTS - dust, pollen, chemical odors, perfume, smoke
INGESTANTS - what you eat, drink, drugs, vitamins, enzymes, or other supplements.
INFECTANTS - anything injected into the body by hypodermic needle as drugs, blood, vaccines, antibiotics or insect bites or stings.
CONTACTANTS - things that touch your skin, hair or mucous membranes; as fabrics, chemicals, cosmetics or soap/shampoo
MOLDS AND FUNGI - Yeast, molds, mildew or fungus.
PHYSICAL AGENTS - heat, cold, wind, light, radiation, electricity, people, or your own body.

What should I expect at the first appointment?

Your practioner will use a high tech computer to evaluate what foods or environmental elements put a stress on your body.  The evaluation is then confirmed by applied kinesiology(muscle testing).  Muscle response testing is a standard kinesiological procedure using the musculoskeletal system controlled by cerebral centers.  This simple, practical test confirms the presence of allergic reactions quickly and easily.  The indications of an allergic response are then recorded for each item tested.  Once the allergens are identified and prioritized, acupressure is administered according to the N.A.E.T. protocol, which will rebalance the body’s response to future contacts and relieve the allergic symptoms.  The technique itself is non-invasive and involves stimulating acupressure points along the spine.  This, in turn, energizes the meridians, creating a state of free-flowing energy.

Following the clearing of the energy blockages, the allergen can be rechecked to see if the body has accepted the clearing process.  After stimulation of specific acupressure points and a period of observation, along with continued contact with the allergen in a free-flowing energy state, the patient is sent home to finish the clearing cycle.  Since bio-electromagnetic energy flow is governed by the body’s biological clock, the patient AVOIDS ALL CONTACT with the treated allergen for 25 hours following the treatment.  This allows the newly programmed energy to be exposed to the 12 major meridians as the body cycles through its time clock.  After this restricted period, the patient is rechecked to verify that all allergic responses to the allergen are eliminated or whether some complexity needs to be re-evaluated.  In some situations, further clearings may be needed to completely eliminate an allergy.  When the clearing process is completed, the allergy has been eliminated from the body’s memory.

What is an allergy?

An allergy is a condition of unusual sensitivity to one or more substances, which may be harmless to the majority of other individuals.  The allergic substance, known as an allergen, is viewed by the brain as a threat to the body’s well being.  The brain reacts by casing a blockage in one or more of the energy meridians.  Therefore, for our purposes, an allergy is defined in terms of what a substance does to the energy flow in the body.  This blocked energy flow is the first step in a chain of events that can develop into an allergic reaction.

What can be tested?

Any substance brought into the bio-electromagnetic field of the patient can elicit a response via the central nervous system.  Actually, any mineral, vegetable, animal substance, chemical compound, or physical agent in contact with the body, even a homeopathic remedy, can trigger this response.  So, in fact, anything in the environment can easily be tested without the use of invasive procedures.

What is acupressure?

Acupressure is an ancient Chinese healing method that involves applying pressure to certain meridian points on the body.  The human body has twelve meridians that carry energy throughout the body.  These meridians start at the fingertips, connect to the brain, and then connect to the organ associated with the specific meridians.

What kind of reactions can be expected after a treatment?

Group 1: Patient feels great after their first treatment and continue to feel good. They may have many allergies but have maintained a strong immune system. When the body is clean, without many toxins in the system, NAET treatments are easier and faster. Talk to your doctor about detoxifying programs.

Group 2: The patient feels good after the treatment, however as the hours go by, they begin to experience tiredness. Some patients sleep through the 25 hours. This group may take 3540 hours to pass a treatment.

Group 3: This group of patients feel good soon after the treatment, but as the hours go by, the person feels great. One capsule of Energy Support Formula after each meal following the clearing will be helpful. Talk to you doctor about this supplement.

Group 4: Patients may experience a roller coaster effect. Initially, they may experence very slight or no improvement at all. They may have a few good hours during the day after 5 to 10 of the basic treatments. Eventually the good days will outnumber the bad days, then they will experience all good days. These patients may need many Combination Treatments.

Group 5: Patients in this group may have experienced many emotional traumas and various types of abuse. Continuous trauma may cause the immune system to weaken. Poor immune systems lead to physical and chemical reactions. This patient may need professional counseling during and after the NAET treatments are completed.
