| You're GREAT! - 1/11/02 |
When I came to see you last week, I had been through a nightmare of health problems. Beginning the last week in October 2001, I had a bronchial infection, pneumonia, and reactive bronchitis. I coughed so hard at times that I couldn't breathe. I had spent three weeks in bed, unable to do anything, and more weeks with no energy and unable to return to work or do even simple things. I lost track of the number of trips to the doctor, and even had one trip to the emergency room in the middle of the night because I couldn't breathe. I had the usual course of Western medicine - multiple prescriptions - looking for the magic pill that would work - antibiotics, inhalers, decongestants - everything they could think of. I started getting better, but kept relapsing. I was beginning to feel like I would never be well again! You checked me and said I was reacting to turkey and chicken. The irony was that like most sick people, I had been eating lots of chicken soup! The miracle was that within 24 hours of the treatment, the heaviness that I had been feeling in my chest for weeks eased. I began feeling better and stronger almost immediately. I have continued to gain strength and energy. You have helped my husband and me so much! He hadn't been able to eat anything in the nightshade family for years. Since his treatments, we can go to a restaurant and order from the menu without asking about every ingredient in every dish! Italian, Mexican, Indian - everything! | No More Shots |
I had been getting weekly allergy shots for more than 10 years when I heard about the NAET method of treating allergies. After being tested and treated for various allergens I no longer need allergy shots or allergy medications. The beauty of NAET is that it can eliminate allergies to molds, pollens, chemicals, foods, animals, perfumes, and a host of other things. It has been my experience that none of the allergies I was treated for have returned. My wife was also treated by Dr. Owens and experienced similar results. We think the world of Dr. Owens. | Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome |
Since 2 months of age, my allergies had always played some kind of dominating role in compromising my health and setting me up for secondary infections. Increasingly over time and since my first visit to Dr. Margaret Owens, my allergies (which played a predominant exacerbating role in my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) have truly been eliminated. I have had a very large number of allergies, or “sensitivities,” eliminated completely, and my health has improved in concert with my separate, ongoing treatment for CFS. If you have severe allergies or feel that your “sensitivities” to pollens, trees, mold, chemicals, food, pollution, smoke, etc. drags you health down, then Dr. Owens can definitely help. She is highly skilled, participates in state-of-the-art professional development and training, and is a remarkable listener and healer. You don’t have to believe in what she does; it just works. And she provides the major healing component herself (in addition to your own body, of course) through a gentle process. I was extremely skeptical, but I cannot challenge the results. | Concentration and behavior problems |
My grandson C. was having great difficulty in school. He could not concentrate and had a lot of behavior problems. The school officials were suggesting Ritalin. After NAET treatments, he began to settle down. His end of year achievement test was in the 99th percentile. -S.B. |

| Husband and Wife |
I came to Dr. Owens after I witnessed a huge change in my husband’s health. Butch began treatments for allergies in early 2001. Prior to the treatments he used nasal spray and over the counter allergy medicines almost daily to combat his airborne and seasonal allergies. He had nasal spray bottles and antihistamines in his office, in his briefcase, in his car, in the house, by the bed, in the kitchen – everywhere you looked you would find them. He was also severely allergic to cats and horses. Upon contact with them he would experience red and swollen eyes and go into an asthmatic seizure, requiring him to use an inhaler to breath easier. In the past just walking into a house that had a cat would trigger a severe reaction. I read about the Allergy Elimination Clinic and made an appointment for him to see Dr. Owens. Had the treatments not worked, he would have needed to get on an allergy shot program, probably for the rest of his life. Fortunately, he responded very well to the treatments at the Allergy Elimination Clinic. He no longer uses nasal spray or allergy medicines. He can pet kitty cats again without a reaction. I suffered from occasional seasonal allergies since moving to Austin, so I decided to try the treatments as well and avoid the headaches that come during the cedar fever time of the year. This December when the cedar counts were at all time highs, I did not experience the headaches, flue-like symptoms or affects of cedar fever. Part of the treatment involves being tested for food, mineral, environmental and other things that you may be sensitive to. I was not aware that I had food allergies, since I never had bumps or exterior reactions that were triggered by food. I was tested and treated for a few food items that surprised me. One of them was sensitivity to artificial sweeteners. Prior to the treatment I drank several diet soft drinks daily – for many, many years. Dr. Owens explained that you may crave the things that your body is sensitive to. Since the treatment I no longer crave diet sodas. Instead I am satisfied with water that is much better and healthier for my body. We’re very pleased with this alternative form of treatment to allergies. Every time we speak to someone who is complaining about how lousy they feel because of their allergies, we recommend them to come in for treatment. It is much better for your health to avoid medications. With these treatments you get rid of the things that are causing your body to be allergic in the first place. -RW & BW |

| Dog and cat dander to grasses |
I want to thank Dr. Margaret Owens at the Allergy Elimination Clinic for her treatment of my allergies. For years I had putting up with allergies having to do with various things from dog and cat dander to grasses, but no longer do I worry. | Lactose Intolerance |
The very 1st thing I was treated for was milk and all its products. I had always thought of lactose intolerance as an imbalance or lack of the right bacteria in the intestine, not an allergy. My usual reaction to a gulp of milk was intense intestinal pain, which sent me to sit in the bathroom for a couple of hours with what we called the “screaming squirts” around our house. “Lactaid” tablets usually helped, but not always and I always refused when my little boy wanted me to tasted on of his creamy desserts because I didn’t want to waste my precious Lactaid tablet for just one bite. Since the treatment, I can eat ice cream, cheese, and all other milk products with no reaction. Now I can share a bit of ice cream with my little boy. That 1st treatment sold me on the method. |

| Asthma |
For years my allergies in general had been getting worse and worse until finally coming down with seasonal asthma in 1998. I would be clear for 3 months in the spring and the rest of the year on inhalers and high powered antihistamines which sometimes did not seem to be doing much. After being treated for milk, I was treated for a lot of other food and environmental items. The specific one I feel really turned the corner for me on the asthma was for grasses. As soon as the treatment was done I could feel my upper sinuses clearing up. It felt like bubbles were popping randomly up there. Since then I have not required the inhaler. | Cedar Fever |
It’s Christmas Eve Morning and the paper says the cedar count is almost 5800! Obviously, I’ve been outside (since I got the paper) but I’ve also been out playing with the dogs and checking all the water pipes. It is a glorious and beautiful day and I’ve got more than this special season to celebrate. I don’t have any allergy symptoms! The ‘roof of my mouth itching’, ‘firecrackers going off in my nose,’ ‘ burning’, and ‘constant drip of my nose and eyes” are not present. For the first time in two decades, I am not having cedar fever. You are a true healer of the best kind. Thank you for your continued efforts on my behalf. Dr. Margaret Owens and NAET are wonderful! If anybody is reluctant to try the technique, I can understand as the whole idea that a health condition can be simply and successfully treated is so foreign in our culture. Yet, the allergy elimination techniques are exactly that effective. My two children and I suffered from both known and hidden allergies for many years. Since undergoing the NAET healing process, not only have our allergies “disappeared”, but also our immune systems seem to fight off colds and flu that friends and neighbors are in bed with for weeks at a time. | Chemical sensitivities |
Dr. Margaret Owens has helped me with my health more than anything else I’ve ever done. Three months ago, I feared I could no longer work at my job as a hairdresser. I had moved to a shop that had a lot of chemical work going on and not enough ventilation. I became sick after one week. I went to two different medical doctors who did nothing to help my symptoms. They gave me drugs that compounded my symptoms as soon as the drugs wore off. At night, I coughed so hard that I literally could not get a breath. I put the phone by my bed in case I had to call 911. After 5 week I finally figured out that it was the air in the salon making me sick and moved to a much smaller salon with better ventilation. I had become sensitized to the chemicals and I had become allergic to everything. I discovered ACE by accident. I believe it was fate. I was looking through the phone book for an air purifier to put in the salon and found AEC’s number. I called and was very interested. I called again and yet again that morning and spoke to Dr. Owens all three times. I made an appointment! Of course I was skeptical, but had a good feeling about Dr. Owens and what she told me as well as the information I got off the website. After I went through the clearinghouse (basic food groups), I started feeling a little better. We then cleared the chemical that I work with at the salon. The most significant clearing was ragweed that we did after the others. I felt like I used to when I was little! | FORMULA PROBLEMS |
N.D., 6 months old was unable to drink milk or soy formula, when she came to the Allergy Elimination Clinic. She was drinking a predigested formula, but still had diarrhea three times a day and dried with colic from 6:00 to 9:00 PM every night. She was in the lowest percentile for weight for her age group. Hi, my name is Annelisa Noella Martinez. My friends and family call me “Lizzy” I am almost 3 years old. When I was a baby, I got a virus that went to my lungs and caused me to cough and cough for a long time. I then started coughing only at night, all night long until I threw up. (YUK!) My mommy and daddy took me to so many doctors. One doctor had my mommy take away all of my stuffed animals and we took out all of the carpets in the house and my mommy had to dust and sweep every day. It still didn’t work. Finally my doctor said that I had asthma and wanted to start using a nebulizer. I stopped coughing for a little while but when I got a cold, I still had asthma attacks. Then, the doctor wanted me to start on steroids. It tasted really yucky and mommy felt bad about putting so many bad drugs into my little body. Finally, I started seeing Dr. Margaret Owens. I was allergic to a lot of stuff. Tap water, petroleum products, and a lot of the foods that I really like to eat! I am really better now. Following my first treatment, I was able to eat an orange without any symptoms. I had not been able to eat any citrus since the early 1980’s.
